Trauma Care: Stop the Dying

This 4-hour class is designed for citizen first-responders. Once an Active Shooter is neutralized everyone at the scene must shift in "Stop the Dying" mindset.  Quick intervention can save lives.  First, the class will address the three main causes of preventable death in trauma victims.  Students will learn how to apply tourniquets and chest seals as wells practice techniques to keep an airway open. Second, students will learn how to triage victims and immediately extract them to a higher level of care. We will also explore improvised methods to control bleeding, maintain an airway, and prevent tension pneumothorax.

Carrying a trauma kit is highly recommended. You may order the ROO-MFAK and extra tourniquets from the Paladin Tactical website.  A few MFAKs and tourniquets may be available for purchase at the class ($90/$35 each).
