Special 16-hr CCW 1 and CCW 3

This is our 16-hour combination CCW 1/CCW 3, choose the "Special" discounted tickets for $450.  The class dates for the Special Pricing are 10/2/2023 for CCW 1 and 10/7/2023 for CCW 3.  Times are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

CCW 1

This covers the state-mandated material for CCW permit holders:

• Laws concerning firearms possession, storage, etc.
• Firearm safety rules
• Fundamentals of shooting
• Loading and unloading procedures
• Discussion of terminal ballistics and ammunition selection
• Firearm and holster selection
• Self defense law and post-shooting procedures
• Live-fire qualification

Required Equipment:

Eye protection

Ear protection

Pistols to be listed on your permit with at least two magazines for each pistol

Outside-the-waistband holster for each pistol (see our blog post on selecting the proper holster)

At least 50 rounds of ammunition per pistol

CCW 3

Anybody can carry a pistol with minimal knowledge, but not everyone has the skills to accurately use the gun in a stressful self-defense situation. The goal of this course is improve your ability to defend yourself and to give you improved confidence as well.

We cover the following topics in the class:

• Grip, stance, sights and trigger control
• Reloading with efficiency and speed
• Clearing stoppages in minimal time with two hands, strong hand
• Tools to confidently pass CCW qualification without fear or worry

Required equipment:

• Handgun with holster
• 2+ magazines
• 350 rounds of ammunition
• Eye and ear protection
• Folding chair is recommended

For CCW 1: You must have a holster for each pistol you intend to shoot; you will not be allowed to fire from the line without a holster. For those with Inside-the-Waistband, Appendix or SERPA holsters, you will NOT be allowed to draw a loaded pistol. You will draw and then load the pistol just prior to firing each stage.   

For CCW 3: You must have an appropriate outside-the-waistband holster or you will not be allowed to shoot.The holster must be designed for the specific pistol you are using. The trigger/trigger guard must not be exposed.   No SERPAs and no inside-the-waistband holsters.
