CCW 1 (SFPD Zoom Mtg - Part 1)

For SFPD CCW applicants only. 

This is a 4-hour Zoom meeting covering Part 1 of the CCW 1 course which covers the state-mandated material for permit holders. You must complete both Part 1 and Part 2 and pass and exam to receive your CCW 1 (8-hour) certificate.  To fulfill your 16-hour requirement, you must also complete CCW 3 (8-hours).  The total cost for CCW 1 (Parts 1 & 2) and CCW 3 is $425.

Part 1 (4-hours of Zoom training) covers:

• Self defense law and post-shooting procedures
• Laws concerning firearms possession, storage, etc.
• Traveling with a CCW
• Firearms safety rules

Part 2 (4-hours of Zoom training) covers:

• Fundamentals of shooting
• Discussion of terminal ballistics and ammunition selection
• Firearm and holster selection
• Further training opportunites

Your official live-fire qualification will be conducted at your CCW 3 class.
