8-Hour CCW Renewal Course — Paladin Tactical U.S. You have 30 days to complete this course once you register. This eight-module online renewal course uses video instruction to refresh the safety practices, legal knowledge, and responsibilities required of concealed carry permit holders. Designed for Paladin Tactical U.S. students, the course fulfills the 8 hours of training required under California Penal Code Section 26165(a), covering firearms safety, firearms handling, shooting technique, safe storage, legal methods for transporting firearms and securing them in vehicles, laws governing where permit holders may carry, laws on the permissible use of a firearm, and laws on the permissible use of deadly force in self-defense. The course also includes a component on mental health and mental health resources. Applicants must pass a written examination demonstrating understanding of the covered topics. This course supports renewal education and should be used alongside current agency requirements for any required live-fire qualification.
