Paladin instructors are DOJ-certified and recognized by the Contra Costa County Sheriff.


INITIAL PERMIT

Steps:

  1. Submit your initial permit application on the agency's Permitium website.   

  2. Complete our CCW FOUNDATIONS (8-hours) and BASIC PISTOL (8-hours). Classes may be taken in any order.

    1. SEE CCW FOUNDATIONS CLASS DATES

    2. SEE BASIC PISTOL CLASS DATES

  3. Once 16 hours of training has been completed, upload the following documents onto the agency's Permitium website:

    1. CCCSO PROOF OF TRAINING RECORD

    2. Paladin's CCW FOUNDATIONS certificate

    3. Paladin's BASIC PISTOL certificate

  4. You will be contacted by the agency to complete your official live-fire qualification at their March Creek facility.


RENEWING A PERMIT

Steps: 

  1. Complete our CCW FOUNDATIONS course or PREMIUM RENEWAL course.

    1. SEE CCW FOUNDATIONS CLASS DATES

    2. SEE PREMIUM RENEWAL CLASS DATES

  2. Once 8 hours of training has been completed, upload the following documents onto the agency's Permitium website:

    1. CCCSO PROOF OF TRAINING RECORD

    2. Paladin's CCW FOUNDATIONS certificate

  3. You will be contacted by the agency to complete your official live-fire qualification at their March Creek facility.



QUALIFICATION COURSE


Target: COCOSO-1

Stages:

  1. 5 yard line: 6 rounds in 6 sec

  2. 7 yard line: 6 rounds in 10 sec

  3. 10 yard line: 6 rounds in 15 sec

Total: 18 rounds 

Passing Score: 126/180 (105 with 5 shot)​



Official qualification must be conducted by the CCC Sheriff's Office
