Paladin instructors are DOJ-certified and recognized by the Contra Costa County Sheriff.


INITIAL PERMIT

  1. Submit your CCW Initial Permit application to the Sheriff's Office.

  2. Complete Paladin Tactical's CCW FOUNDATIONS (8-hours) and BASIC PISTOL (8-hours). Classes may be taken in any order. (16-hour requirement takes effect on 1/1/2024)

  3. Submit the two 8-hour course certificates to Sheriff's Office.



RENEWAL PERMIT

  1.  Submit your CCW renewal application to Sheriff's Office

  2. Complete Paladin Tactical's CCW FOUNDATIONS course.

  3. Submit your course certificate to Sheriff's Office.

QUALIFICATION COURSE


Target: B-27 Target​

Stages:

  1. 5 yard line: 6 rounds in 6 sec

  2. 7 yard line: 6 rounds in 10 sec

  3. 10 yard line: 6 rounds in 15 sec

Total: 18 rounds 

Passing Score: 126/180 (105 with 5 shot)​

Maximum number of pistols: 2​


Official qualification must be conducted by the CCC Sheriff's Office
